So you don't buy 'the soft racism of lowered expectations'?

I doubt it was him as much realpolitik in a largely racist USA. He already had his hands full putting his recovery programs into action in spite of formidable opposition from his adversaries. Most AoAds knew who their friends were then and now.

Not really. The fantasy that the left continues to perpetuate about their "racist" political opponents simply continues to fuel hate and fear. Its a very convenient rhetorical device to create a straw man, then blame the existence of the straw man on someone else. Using a rhetorical device doesn't make something a "fact" or the "truth".

But if it makes you feel better to continue to perpetuate the myth, have at it Finn.

"The facts as they exist today." Should I accept that as confirmation that the "facts" were different yesterday?

The fact of lynching is less tolerated now as then, the fact of its general acceptance has changed and few get away with it thru indifference and rigged trials. Will that do as an example?

They should know who their enemies are by speech and deed, their friends are not those that work against their interests..

Here in Cleveland their 'friends' are sitting in jail for ripping them off.

Well half of them. They elected and/or relected the other half that got away with it.

Graft is an unchangeable fact in American politics that knows no party affiliation.
