With the lack of indignation that the left, which has been historically a bastion for civil liberties, is demonstrating on this issue, I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

It goes both ways, Whell. Some of the very people who were four-square behind the Section 215 provisions (even sponsored them) now say they're against them. The video I posted of Hannity shows that the hypocrisy goes both ways.

In hilarious relief.

Your Hannity "comparison" shows nothing, by the way. Many were in favor of phone record data collection under the Act when “relevant to a terrorism investigation." The ultra - broad interpretation of that section, and the way it is currently being utilized, bears no resemblance to its original intent, so say those who were involved in its implementation.

Of course, the left loves to look at law as a something that can and must be reinterpreted to reflect the times.

As for this law, just about everybody on the right is for it with the exception of the Kentucky kernel, Rand Paul and those that now want to appear shocked, shocked at its implementation despite briefings on it, not to mention funding for it. Hypocrisy is a nonpartisan trait in DC.

"Nothing"? Really, Mike?

When I think of the way positions shift in our government, in which your party is a major component, I think of a particular movie, "1984"............

Oh, and I fixed it for ya.

Of course, the founding fathers wrote the laws as a something that can and must be reinterpreted to reflect the times.
Fixed that for ya, Mike.

That's right, Bob.

And, it only makes good sense.

As the cartoon you posted shows Bob, we have more to fear from Google and Facebook who not only keep a database on us but also sell it. Ever notice that after you have doe a search on Item X that the advertising bar at the top of this page keeps showing you all the variants of Item X?

No doubt about it, especially people trying to steal my identity on Facebook even with being more careful than any other site. There are 2 on my list, one a neighbor, that did get hacked which seems to be my problem.
