The killer "was discharged from the Army in 1998 because he had been found drunk during military exercises, according to law enforcement authorities. He was convicted of driving under the influence a year later in Colorado. And a trucking company confirmed Tuesday morning that it fired Page two years ago after he was pulled over in North Carolina for driving while impaired....He was involved with white supremacy....he would talk about the racial holy war, like he wanted it to come...”

Yet, he went out a legally purchased an auto-loading pistol. WTF is wrong with this picture? What does freedom and liberty have to do with allowing deranged @ssholes like this roam our country armed to the teeth?

Probably one of my top 2 questions to be posed in the national dialog I'm proposing. The other being addressed to Wayne LaPierre about the rumors that he's dimensionally challenged to a microscopic degree.

A great question to be posed in that oh so intimidating national dialog.

Our society has always been a violent one. Just a quick look back at the USA's History should more then prove this point. Whenever a group is seen as different from the "norm" violent acts are used against them. My point is it seems that now with the prevalent lack of understanding of others this sort of action will happening more often.

As a past NRA Hunter Safety instructor, I strongly believe that alcohol and firearms don't mix well. As it is, you can't buy a gun if you have a drug conviction, but you can if you're booted from the Army with alcohol problems and convicted of two subsequent DUI's. Hell, the NRA and GOP support the idea of allowing people to bring firearms into bars. Alcohol is a lot more conducive to violence that the most popular illegal drug (weed). Crazy.

We could emulate the German model in dealing with self professed Nazis. That would take a few of the white supremacists off the street.
