John, LOL! I've only had soon to be gods stop by my door once, they were teens from out west, I asked them a few questions and I knew more about Mormonism than they did. And I don't know much

Jehovahs though, pretty often. When I used to go door to door working RE I'd get, 'I thought you might be Jehovah but you were alone'.

But, that's what they want, Rob. The government "run like a business". You know, un-Democratic, oligarchical command and control. With a handfull of "owners" and millions of obedient, non-union worker bees.

How else do you expect us to preserve "freedom"?

I answer the door in my underwear, clutching a beer. Once, I told them; "Come on in and join the party, boys. I've got the sheep all greased up and ready to go."

They don't hang around long.

Try as I might I can't find anywhere in any of my few posts thus far where I commented one way or other on the size of government now. However, since you brought it up, I guess it all depends on where you have your priorities. If you consider the number one problem facing the U.S. today (above and beyond anything else) to be the size of government then let's get out the ax. If, on the other hand, you consider the economy the number one problem facing the country today then cutting government doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. It would reduce spending in an evironment where more spending, not less, is needed. It would place more people out of work. (Most of the women that Romney accuses Obama of putting out of work are civil service employees, state and local, who have lost their jobs due to budgetary reductions.)

This is not to suggest that the national debt isn't a major issue; it surely is. But is it one that must be tackled at the expense of everything else? In my judgment, no.
