Gym loses the third round, losing four more votes I believe. So House back in recess, another closed door meeting of the Repugnants and any bets on how many more rounds Jordan will ask for? Its obvious he will not gain any more votes, only lose them and threats are not going to work especially since his strategy has been exposed. Looks like the voting will continue since they have no other option or choices to keep the House open.

He has now proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is indeed a Thug.

Am I wrong or is the country being played by traitorous anti-democracy Republicans who would be more than happy to see the democratic systems that have been in place and operating in this country for a little less than 250 years, disintegrate and fall apart. The first step in this happening is for the country to go into an extended default. Which will happen if no speaker is elected within the timeframe required.

My money now is on McHenry, whom the Democrats respect.

McCarthy will not be brought back for sure, not Scalise because McCarthy hates him, rest of the leadership team like Emmer is McCarthy lite. So they do not have a viable candidate except for McHenry. And he did not vote against the EC count like the rest of these bozos.

Problem is McHenry does not want the job and his wife works for FCC, so not a conflict like the McConnel couple. But he is perhaps their only option unless the MAGAts relent and let him have expanded powers with Dem votes if necessary as a short term option. My gut feel says the Repugnants need a real Speaker soon and he is their only option. But chances are one of them will nominate Trump or whomever Hannity nominates so the shit show will continue, hope not but no bets.
