Dead - Dave's Picks Number 3.
Auditorium Theater Chicago, Friday Nov. 22, 1971. Eighth anniversary of the murder of JFK. And...we were there. First row, first balcony. Tripping the light fantastic on the red microdots.
Playing this and lots of other stuff on a new installation...the Infinity Composition Prelude PF-R's from a local salvage house, out of a little Onkyo A-7070 integrated.
PS - one little bit of Dead trivia regarding the above show. "One More Saturday Night" was a new song for them and had not been released at the time. And...it was the third time the band had ever played it in front of an audience. The only people who had heard it before was anybody who had been at the concert at the Auditorium the night before, or up at the Univ. of Minnesota a couple nights before that.
The crowd went absolutely nuts.
