Methinks you're probably reading too much into polls at fifteen months out.

Polls have nothing to do with my views of Hillary. The Dems did themselves no favor by coronating her years before the election. Their succession planning looks like what the GOP was criticized for having done for several decades and the GOP campaign looks like the messy clusterf*ck once typical of Dems.

This whole political thing just might be easier if we had a king and queen instead of an election. 😉

I think it's still quite possible that Hillary will win the general but she'll have zero coattails. Without those, she'll be forced to work with a Congress which largely hates her and isn't intelligent enough or mature enough to put that aside for the good of the country.

I am in total agreement with you on this. The Democratic party ordained Hillary as their candidate without consensus and now they are stuck with her. Her status may have also discouraged other viable candidates except for Bernie Sanders and his support is probably made up of anti-Hillary Democrats.

She still needs to overcome her email fiasco and Bush3 is raising money at a 2:1 ratio. I do believe that the issue of emails makes her very vulnerable with independents (including me) and she will get pounded on this come general election. Saying there is nothing there is premature.

I think she may lose to Jeb or Kasich, but would likely beat anybody else. A Kasich/Rubio ticket would likely thump her, for better or worse. She'd better be totally clean on the email dust-up or she's toast.

I think that's undoubtedly true.

And if I were a betting man, I'd bet she isn't totally clean. Honesty ain't exactly her strong suit.

I may be spacing out on some things I should remember but the only clearly dishonest thing I can recall Hillary being guilty of was that silly comment about being shot at in Kosovo.

As I see it, her problem isn't dishonesty but a lack of candor. She always seems to be holding back a little, not being entirely forthcoming when speaking to journalists. That gets read (by those of a certain predisposition) as dishonesty and dissembling but I think it really stems from an entirely justified mistrust of the press. They've treated her very shabbily ever since Bill's first campaign for the White House.
