I am a Zionist who believes in the words of Israel’s founding charter of 1948 declaring that the nascent state would be based “on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel.”
What I cannot accept, however, is the perversion of Zionism that has seen the inexorable growth of a Messianic Israeli nationalism claiming all the land between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River; that has, for almost a half-century now, produced the systematic oppression of another people in the West Bank; that has led to the steady expansion of Israeli settlements on the very West Bank land of any Palestinian state; that isolates moderate Palestinians like Salam Fayyad in the name of divide-and-rule; that pursues policies that will make it impossible to remain a Jewish and democratic state; that seeks tactical advantage rather than the strategic breakthrough of a two-state peace; that blockades Gaza with 1.8 million people locked in its prison and is then surprised by the periodic eruptions of the inmates; and that responds disproportionately to attack in a way that kills hundreds of children.
Is this fellow, like anyone else sharing his opinion, anti-Semitic?

I don't believe so. I see it as defending oneself against home invasion.

Gone for a day or so and I've lost track of who thinks what of who. I doubt I'll be ignorant for long.
In related news, Israel says this'll take a while.

After Ken moved into Gary's house without asking whilst expecting him to "like it" due to a European version of Manifest Destiny.

Says you who have never been through a holocaust or know anything about the holocaust which you haven't seen on The History Channel, which really oughta be called The Nazi Channel. It's too bad there are only a few survivors left...I so would have enjoyed dragging you kicking and screaming into my parents living room so's you would have the opportunity to hear Abe and Mimi Kaplan talk about Dachau (which he survived) and Majdanek (which she survived).
They were both scared shitless of being blown to shreds every day living in Israel. From the day they got there, until they died. It's pretty easy living here knowing the terrorists want us all dead...a little more difficult to know it when you live in Haifa.
PS - I hate to be humor impaired, but your false equivalency disorder is really raging with this comparison.

Dude, Nazi Germany had the most powerful military in the world at the time of the Holocaust. Hamas would get their asses handed to them by the Mississippi National Guard.
How many nuclear warheads does Israel have?
How about their Air Force?

The Israel Air Force is universally recognized to be among the world’s most powerful aerial fighting forces.

You'd have about as much chance of dragging me anywhere as Hamas would have of wiping Israel off the map. If you tried it I'd knock your dick in the dirt.

And don't be so sure I couldn't drag you. You woulda liked my parents house. Any time anybody came over Mom would make Dad walk down to the Jewish deli on the corner and get a big plate of cold-cuts, cheese, and celery sticks. I always like that term "cold-cuts". I never heard anybody use that term but Jews...although I grew up with Jews, so that may be the reason. Did goyem use the term "cold-cuts?" And then typically it was always an afternoon of "Oy...gott im himmel" and other such yiddish exclamations one would hear in a room fulla old Jews.
BTW - threatening to put my dick in the dirt is hardly a threat at all after a Gunnery Sgt. has promised to bust your eyeballs out and skullfuck you.

So what?
It was my favorite line from the movie "The Breakfast Club" and I've been waiting a long time for a chance to use it.
