5. Looking back at the 2014 conflict between Israelis and Palestinians
Daily News: And I’m going to look at 2014, which was the latest conflict. What should Israel have done instead?
Sanders: You’re asking me now to make not only decisions for the Israeli government but for the Israeli military, and I don’t quite think I’m qualified to make decisions.

They added the bold, to highlight his statement (not ideal worded, admittedly) that's he's not qualified to make decisions, even though that's clearly referring to the Israeli government and military. How can you take this nonsense seriously? Reading CNN's article about it (which is now plastered as the lead story on their front page) makes it sound like he's totally clueless as they cherry-picked many of the same statements and made it sound like he bumbled through the entire interview - which, again, he certainly did not.
I suppose the authors of these hit-pieces viewed this as a great opportunity since the original transcript is pretty long, and they probably rightly assumed most people wouldn't bother to read it.

Bernie's solution to everything is breaking up the big banks, just as Trump's solution to everything is building a big wall. I'll readily agree that Bernie is a far more sympathetic character than Trump, but their respective solutions to a myriad of vexing problems are pretty facile.

I disagree that Bernie's solution to everything is breaking up the big banks. His campaign is certainly focused on his perceived problems with our economic system, because he believes most of our problems as a nation are in one way or another a symptom of that same system, and I wholeheartedly agree.
There's been understandable criticism of him as something of a single-issue candidate, but considering the above context I think he's approaching the question of how to lead this country going forward in the most appropriate way of any candidate on either side.

Large crowd turns out for Bernie Sanders rally in Laramie
1800 in Laramie Wyoming, a town of about 30,000, in a very conservative state with a population density of 6 people per square mile. That's pretty impressive. Only 18 delegates at stake, but in this race every one counts.

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders told some 1,800 people gathered at a rally Tuesday night that Wyoming can be part of the political revolution that shifts the balance of power from the billionaires to the young, elderly, middle class and low-income people.
“With your help on Saturday, we’re going to win here in Wyoming,” he said. “Then we are headed to New York.”
The U.S. senator from Vermont spoke for about 30 minutes at the University of Wyoming Arts and Sciences Auditorium during a rally that featured upbeat oldies music and cheering campaign staff holding signs saying “A Future To Believe In.” Bernie spoke shortly after all the major news networks announced he had won the Wisconsin primary. He thanked the people of Wisconsin for their support.
“I think people in this country are tired of establishment politics.”
Wyoming Democrats will hold their county caucuses Saturday. Delegates will be selected for the party’s state convention next month. Wyoming Democrats will send 18 delegates to July’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Yet another article on Bernie's disastrous interview with the NY Daily News.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/.../?tid=pm_pop_b
It seems like Bernie, the soci@list gadfly, has been caught off-guard by the level of his support among the young and impressionable without having thought through any of his policy positions/proposals.

Dude's out of his depth, methinks. He's kinda like George Carlin's Hippy Dippy Weatherman running for President.
