Frankly I was hopping you would come to see how a kid just going to the store for candy should not be blamed for his own murder.

For the record, I "never" came home sober.

Noonereal, Why don't you dial it back a bit. None here are privy to all aspects of this case but at least it's going to trial now. There's a point where anyone should very simply agree to disagree and since it'll be in the hands of a jury I would suggest that the time is now.

Have you ever heard Sharpton when he's not doing politics and he's just BS'n and cuttin' up. The guy is actually funny as heck.

The ACLU espouses the right of a fair trial of Zimmerman and justice for Trayvon Martin. I was going to post this in my ACLU thread but I thought it more pertinent to this thread.

I am not sure what you want me to dial back.

We/I can't comment on the case because it's going to trial now?

It took 6 weeks for it to go to trial, I think this is more than worthy enough to discuss.

Clearly I feel strongly that a kid should be able to go to the store and get back home alive. I would hope we all felt the same.

Yes, I am insistent in my posts on this but I don't think I am radical. For example I don't think this is murder 1, I think Zimmerman deserves to defend himself in court but until last night the opposite was happening. The victim was being blamed.

That said Zimmerman caused this incident against the advise of the police so even if the kid went around the corner and jumped Zimmerman from behind and was beating him to death Zimmerman is not innocent. BTW the color does not matter, one should have a reasonable expectation of going to the store for candy and being able to return undisturbed red. white or black.

Do you think it was appropriated for Zimmerman to not be charged for 42 days? To you think he ever would have been if not for the outcry?

Don't you think this is worth being passionate about? I do.

How about this stand your ground law that this case has brought to the forefront? Isn't this more than discussion worthy? Again, I think it is.

As it was being used here none of us are ever safe for any reason.

Yeah, lot's to discuss here.

I think all do although for a long time it looked like this would not happen hence the commotion.

I actually like good old Al Sharpton when he's not stirring something up. BTW, I thought Jesse Jackson's eldest daughter did an excellent job last night on O'Reilly. Evidently she's been hired as a contributor.
