Cool story.

My roomie had a Pioneer Quad. I remember playing Edgar Winter Group's Frankenstein so that we could hear the synth chirp around the room. It was kind of fun listening to Tomita on the quad too. Plenty of Who made it on that system too - "Who's Next" getting a lot of spins. Something about "Won't Get Fooled Again" sticks in my mind.

My sister is at work, so I'm enjoying some great music at near live levels.

A compilation tape (10.5" 7.5 IPS) I made years ago of the best of Laika and the Cosmonauts.

I love this music.

I had actually seen them in 1979 at Richfield Coliseum...my first year system was a Zenith all in one console with Allegro speakers....and no one made fun of it at the dorm actually. I heard a guys 30 watt amp down the hall and had my dad buy me a 30 watt Realistic STA-11 (I think) with a LAB 440T for that Christmas in 1981.

My favorite version of Won't Get Fooled Again is the Kids Are Alright version filmed for that movie.
