Got everything done to the engine except the timing belt kit. Could NOT get the crank bolt off, had a 6 foot pipe on an old Proto 1/2" breaker bar, the bar was bending at least 25 degrees and nada. A lesser bar would've snapped.

So, the mech gets another thing to do

One interesting thing, my nephew wants to dismantle the old engine. I think it's a great idea.

I thought about it, but phooey We already spent quite a few hours, it was on the ground so a lot of up and down (legs sore!), it was cold, we're taking it to the shop anyway and I'm whining like a little girl

Nope! I'm happy to report I checked before starting I've had the misfortune of that bolt breaking before.

A cutting torch works for me! It makes it easier to fit that rice burner into a dumpster.

LMAO!!

With the rotation, if it was in the car I could fit the breaker bar with an extension and hit the key Works great on SB fords.

But it's not in the car It's so cold the mech isn't working so I have more time. I might, maybe, if I really feel like it head back over next sat and try some MAP gas. One of my Cleveland nephews also mentioned a type of tool that you mount and hit with a hammer, he says it works great, I can't find it online so I'm going to head over there to check it out. He paid $65 for it.
