Bet that sounds great.

I was able to find one close to home recapped and with new Russian tubes for $1,250. And it's cosmetically fabulous. The A-25's sound luscious with tubes.

Digging the pure music of kids playing baseball! Little League World Series. Rhythm of the game... parents, siblings, friends in the stands... concentration of the players, etc.... how can it get better than this?

Thinking it was perhaps the phono stage in the ancient Sansui 3000 we were using for a test bed, I install my AT 440ML on a nondescript table and tried it...the difference was night and day, to say the least. I bought the 440ML when they were closing them out for $59 on Amazon, and got $20 off for applying for a credit card...now THAT WAS a budget cartridge. Very similar to my Ortofon Super 40 at basically 10x the price.
I'm more partial to Ortofons than Shures, they're more lively in my estimation. I like a lively cartridge.

I do not know that much about cartridges....I do know that this Pickering one I have that everyone loves tends to magnify the all the surface noise. The Shure I have at work (The Shure 92) is actually ok. And I love this OEM cartridge on the BSR XL-1400. That is a cart that tends to make albums a bit quieter. Plus even though it is all plastic it is a pretty good table so far. I only paid 5 bucks.
I am trying to cull my vinyl but I always find these deals at the thrifts. Last week I found The Who's Who's Next 180 gram heavy vinly series release for $8.
