OK, for those who do not know.

The 1860 election in the USA and then formation of the CSA, resulting in civil war!

Da!

You either have some huge gaps in your education or you're full of crap. Todays Republiclan party would ride ol' Honest Abe out of town on a rail. All those Dixiecrats and KKK fuckers are now running the GOP. See the 1960s.

It's like the 1940s, '50s and '60s never happened in Nebraska. I guess?

Dude, I deal with the stupid MF's everyday.

They are so self centered, happy in their ignorance. Glorify it so it seems at times.

Do not care or want to be informed. Gladly accept a conspiracy, no matter how outlandish or unproven.

Sorry, brother. I've got one two doors down from me with that stupid Trump flag on his wall. Used to have a somewhat cordial friendship as long as we stayed away from politics but dickweed decided he wanted to praise T'Rump one day. Oh well.

Right here in Orange county we have the remnants of confederate bushwackers and Missoura Klansmen. Fuck, they buried Tricky Dick's mangy corpse about 20 miles from my house. Always wanted to pay my respects, if you know what I mean.

We who follow history know what happen next.....................

The future of our republic is at stake.

The all powerful cult will do whatever it takes to keep power.

So I fear trouble the time ahead for all who remember and relish freedoms and liberty taken for granted up to now.
That's what truly scares me. We have an "occupant" (I refuse to call him president) of the WH that ignores the rule of law when it comes to him. The AG is in his pocket and believes the president is all powerful. The Repubs in congress, with one or two exceptions, bend over and grab their ankles for their leader. On top of all that tRump has a cult following that will willingly follow him to their graves.
Tough times ahead in the near future.

I was making a comment on how the 1860 election reflected a splitting of this country along ideologies. Breaking down after the election into a civil war.

Due to the mainly the two side failing to work out the issues. One side dug in a selfish want, a need to gain, the enrichment by the enslavement of a people. Yes people, many many sufferer after all!
Greed!
Personal gain!

See vivid similarities today in the divisiveness and all of the anger and vitriol.

If one looks deeply at the ideologies of the two major parties it would be very apparent that from 1860 and 2020. They are flipped in beliefs.

Really, you honestly think the republican party of today would be for freeing the slaves? That the party of 1860 would support this cult running the party now? Hell they can't even get rid of the stars and bars willingly. Forced to by events.............

Seemingly since they support the economic enslavement of vast portions of our population as we speak. As a whole racists have found a happy home in the republican party.
