I think a combination of style and stance.
Trump physically stalked his rival, talking over her out of turn, threatening her with legal action if elected. He repeatedly deflected to his scattershot talking points sans specifics and continually discounted the stature of the USA, a sales pitch saying "you have problems, only I have the solutions", for a price. His campaign has been consistent with these features, playing to an established base without seriously attempting to expand it's appeal. He is still repugnant to those that never believed in him or his sales pitch.
Hillz didn't say much to quell doubts about her e-mails with a diciplined but lackluster presentation, nor did she humiliate him dominating the evening.
Folks who respect her abilities and experience will stay with her, those that are unsure about her trustworthiness will have to choose based on their priorities.
Barring a telling October suprize for Hillz or an epiphany on Trump's lack of qualifications (his lack of character is already established as a matter of record), I see this going to Hillz in the end in spite of the deep rooted populist support for her rival.
