I think you are right the electronics on the old amps usually cause most of the problems or are behind the tube deaths lol....

Listened the entire album on youtube. I have been reading a lot about him. loved the easy nature of his music and its connection with weighty issues. It seems he had a connection with Lee "Scratch" Perry.

I am essentially a jazz man but lately have been drawn to easy rock... not over amped stuff.

BTW there is a mural of Joe in the city. I should visit it. Ave A and E. 7 Ave.

Well the only overtly jazz reference would be the song Jimmy Jazz off of London Calling. Now if you like reggae or dub the album Sandinista! is a nice murky mess of all sorts of musical styles. And there is a collection Super Black Market Clash (originally an Epic 10 inch album called Black Market Clash) that has the song Armagideon Time...a dub selection.

Their primary drummer Topper Headon was a jazz drummer you can tell by just listening to him....

in college my buddies and I would get drunk and listen to (This Is) Radio Clash I had the 12 inch 45 rpm single...one of my all times favs...you can watch that video on youtube I am sure.

I have seen that mural on the internet had no idea it was in NYC...
