I've been through a couple of Marantz 2270s and never saw a bonnet.

"Everything is better, with Blue Bonnet on it."

Maybe he smears margerine all over his gear? Gives it a smoother, creamier sound without the Trans-Fats.

Do a google search "bonnet audiokarma", not exactly an umheard of term.

I was fishing with this post, but was hoping for something like "I have several receivers I'd like to blow up"

Oh well, I tried

While you are googling, check out the history of margarine. I wouldn't eat that crap if I was starving.

Oh, I just thought you had turned into a closet Anglophile.

BTW I only have one silver faced 2270, all the rest are gold faced. Supplemental social security.

I know you guys are enamored with all things European.
Thought it would subliminally raise my charm quotient.

I call it a "case". But, I do like the metric system. The whole "base ten" does make a lot more sense.................

I'd go with "cover" before "case". Case implies wrapping all the way around, which most do not.
