Following, chasing...no difference other than the way it "sounds" and JJ has pointed out.

He was told it wasn't necessary..........

And I still believe vigilante justice is a bad idea.

Following with a loaded pistol is ominous enough for me. I could easily find enough things to spend $800 on rather than his and her .380s but the NRA SCOTUS et. al. are not leaving me much choice.

+1 The more they drag their feet the worse it gets. What the right is hoping for is to postpone Zimmerman's trial till after the election.
