Sometimes forecasts don’t pan out. Other times they do — but what was predicted is delayed. Regardless of which is true this year, Atlantic tropical storm and hurricane activity, thus far, has been strangely quiet — especially given forecasts for a busy season.

As I had noted in this thread, mid-September is when the bad stuff happens and now we've had Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico and Hurricane Ian bearing down on Tampa.

Ian is the sixth Category 4 or 5 hurricane to make landfall in the United States since 2017, which is the most on record for any six-year period. So much for the BS that Whell is spewing.

DeSatan calls impacts from Ian potentially 'a 500-year flood event'

Sorry your crystal ball was so badly broken. You should feel even dumber than you are right about now, but you're incapable of shame, sadly.

Heard from a friend lot of TV exposure for DeSatan, none for DJT. Must be tormenting the moron to no end.

And Abbot is asking, "where is my hurricane".

Edit: Isn't there a drink in NooOrleans named Hurricane? Never been there.

Yep, and the most famous one is at Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter. Basically a fruit punch with lots of rum.

My brother bought a winter home in Baton Rouge last year. Hoping to visit them in November and perhaps check out the French Quarter. No mood altering beverages for me though.

I lived there for 3 years and still visit fairly often. Don't spend too much time in the French Quarter, particularly not Bourbon St. Way too touristy. For music, hit Frenchmen St. or some of the uptown clubs. If you like seafood, go to Deanie's (several locations, including the Quarter on Iberville St). Their seafood platter is truly a sight to behold (and eat). It comes in portions for 2 or 4. Order half as much as you think you need (get the platter for 2 for 4 people). This picture is the platter for 4. If you want some oysters on the half shell while in the Quarter, go to Acme Oyster House.

There’s a Mind-Bending Amount of Solar in the US Pipeline
And there’s a lot of battery capacity too.

Getting cheaper and more efficient all the time. So much for Donny’s “clean, beautiful coal!” nonsense.

Can't come too soon. This will largely put an end to Big Oil's ability to game the market and raise prices and bleed their customers for windfall profits.
