If Sanders can't win the democratic primaries, how's he going to beat Trump?

Let me preempt the response from Hillary's subjects. Don't trust any polls this early and wait till Hillary is actually nominated.

Have you heard the latest? Hillary's supporters want Bernie to suspend his campaign now because they don't want her to lose in any more states to Bernie. What a vote of confidence if you are a Democrat!

We’ll have plenty of time to get into the weeds of different Electoral College scenarios in the months to come. For now, if you’re interested in whether Trump or Clinton is likely to be our next president, I’d pay attention to the average of national polls. Let’s wait until we’re closer to the election and we have a lot more state polling before we zoom in closer than 30,000 feet."

There it is as predicted.

He can't beat her in closed primaries where only registered Democrats can vote. He beats the pants off of her in open primaries where Independents can vote. You need Independents to win the general election.
