I do not have to wish it; all will be well.

I also know everything will be done to fix this. You will see to this. Knowing you are busy doing research and will treat this as other challenges overcome.

Indeed 1 John 4:8 so He will be with us

It was God and Divine Providence who put us together in that blizzard and He said what God has joiined together let no man put asunder.

My only problem with research is that our Internet access is on the blink. The Comcast tech yesterday found that the signal is leaving the pedestal at 21dB but it is down to 4dB at the house entrance point. He said they will need to replace the entrance cable - all 250 feet of it. So our cable modem is having a tough time getting good packets across.

My very best wishes to Florence and I am certain that you will do your best to find the best healthcare for her.

Strange the connection has its moments and is good at the moment. We have the PET/CT full body scan set for Aug 3 and an oncologist set for Aug 6. Then we will know what the future looks like The oncologist a Dr. Lee come highly recommended, he is with the Maryland Oncology Hematology group that our doctor recommended to us. The doctor that looked after Florence at HCGH during her recent stay has already discussed her case with him so that should save time. I also wrote to HCGH to get all the records from her 1980 ovarian cyst surgery - that is if they keep records that long, HIPAA only requires 8 years I believe. Depending on how thy search the doctors might not find the records because her surname was different then. When we met in 1983 she was a recent widow. Some places search on the last four digits of your SSN.

Dear God but the waiting is hard - and tiring.

We were back at Emergency yesterday, of course they could not take the word of a layman and went through the whole protocol again - blood tests -EKG - X-ray. Well at least they stopped short of the CAT scan - bloody bureaucrats. Finally they removed 1700Ml of the same fluid and we found an intelligent doctor in Radiology. He gave Florence their fax number and said have your doctor fax in a standing order for a pleural effusion. That way the next time she is short of breath w go straight to radiology. We went in at 11:00 AM and did not get out until 5:30 PM and I'm sorry but that is unconscionable. Despite Saint Paul's admonition I have never been able to suffer fools gladly.

She is sleeping quietly just now an I shall let her rest- funny she scares me sometimes because she sleeps so soundly. In 32 years I have never heard her snore or anything close to that.

Sorry to rant but she is my love and my life.

Saw orange paint all along the side of the driveway so I guess Comcast came while we were out to lay out the path of the old entrance cable. Good because right now the service sucks.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, it is appreciated.

We finally saw the Oncologist yesterday and he did confirm hat it is inoperable lung cancer, but he also told us that it is treatable and he feels that he can restore her health towhere she can lead a reasonably normal life.

So my prayers to Mother St. Andrew have been heard as have the prayers of all of the Sisters at the CDP as well as your good wishes. The doctor has ordered further analysis of the cancer cells and should they prove to show the presence of a certain gene there are medications that will stop their growth.
