Pete you've gotta try Modelo Negro Ale, if you haven't. It's like Newcastle with a bit more oomph. Excellant Mexican beer! For you pilsner fans try Pacifico Claro, it's way better than Corona.

Thanks! And thanks for all the beer recs.

Burning River is one of my all time favorites. Folks who think it's too charcoally generally prefer the Dort. Edmund rocks too.

The label on 'Holy Moses Ale' cracks me up, tho I'm not a white ale fan. The Founder of Cleveland was Moses Cleaveland (an early paper didn't have enough room for the whole name across the top so left out the 'a') (that's our story and I'm sticking with it ). Moses parting Lake Erie with Cleveland as the promised land:

Holy Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Batman! Yeah, I'll shamelessly plug the poor depressed Forest City whenever I can.

Is it true that old Moses only visited Cleveland once and never lived there?

I remember reading that somewhere......

Yeah, he was a darned capitalist land speculating pig Surveyed the area and split.

The area is called the Western Reserve. I found out accidentally that it was originally the 'Western Reserve of Connecticut', controlled and originally settled by Connecticut, and it shows in some areas, very New England-ish in places.

Or as one older lady newly arrived from NYC complained to me once, 'Geese, geese, geese! (in kitchen decor slathered all over everything). Don't you have anything modern?'

Personally, I could say something about Beanie Babies, but I won't...other than I hate them bastards.
