I could be wrong, but so far, it certainly looks like we're managing this one a lot better than either of those. May turn out that some of the folks running things have had a few thoughts about this already and have some plan to move forward. It seems a good deal less made up as we go along.
The whole "they'll welcome us as liberators" deal works a lot better when they call up and say "hey, little help liberating us?"

I figure with Libya it should be much easier with an educated and western looking population. Ironically Gaddafi did a fairly good job in modernising his infrastructure and providing secular education for both genders.
What we are doing also in Libya is keeping the radicals close in our "sight".

Well, the population of Iraq was also educated and westernized a generation ago. Saddam also provided education for both genders and kept the religious nuts at bay. Until we went in and cut them loose.

I guess the hope is that Obama can run a war better than Bush? Dems make better warriors than Republicans?

Well, this is, I admit, a gross over-simplification, but smart people manage complex plans better than dumb people. I'm guessing that had Al Gore been President on 9/11 we wouldn't be talking about Iraq and Afghanistan so much right now. We would have a prosperous country with a bunch of red necks whining about Gore being a "pussy".

LMAO! Even Pres Clinton would've loved to take Saddam out. And it was the Dems that put a kibbosh on mortgage reform.

You folks do realize that Hillary was in Libya two days ago and the Ghaddafi just showed up dead, eh? Methinks he got the Vince Foster treatment.

Fixed that Pete.

Is Canada off limits? There are real problems in Canada that pertain to the muslim population. FREE speech here.
