This country is lost.

Oh well, it was pretty good for a while there.

I won't have to be around too much longer to experience the decline, but I feel bad for my daughter.

EDIT: but then Wisconsin is a bit of a protest hot spot.
Wisconsin National Guard is called up to go into Kenosha if necessary.

There have been a couple of minor skirmishes outside the courthouse with one arrest (a white kid).

The Civil Rights leaders are working the other trial, the Aubery case in Georgia. "No Justice, No Peace" they chant.

The timing of the two trials reinforces my idea that the world is ruled by the forces of evil.

This may be new to you, but it's not new. Jury nullification has happened a lot. This is a bad sign and no part of a good thing, but it's not the clap of doom.

No surprise here, given the unfortunate circumstances. A perfect storm of all around aggression culpability. The weapons charge was the only real violation and it was dismissed, but a bad precedent for armed vigilantism, I don't feel safer in public because of it.

In Kyle's case the judge nullified.

So guess now with this verdict handed down.
Standing on the curb armed with a sidearm/AR watching a large group of Trump cultists march by.
Go ahead wave the sidearm at them, then kill a few when they attempt to disarm you.....using the I'm scared....defense.

OBTW,

If you can this may well be a good time to buy stocks in gun related areas. Sales are going to soar.

I see the decision as a circumstances-nuanced one-off, tho many will try to make it something more than that.
It is in no way comparable to the circumstances addressed in the concurrent Georgia trial.

RE: "No Justice, No Peace"

Like Ghandi, MLK knew that peaceful protest, not violence, was the key to winning civil rights.

The Right Wing will be praying for a riot, and they'll stage one if necessary.

Complete with infiltrators setting fires.
