Don't tempt me, Rajoo! I found an early one in Barter Town with a gold face for $200 last year. I still need to do the recommended service on it, the phono section has a titch of noise but is in otherwise in good condition.

On to some Lil Feat, Feats Don't Fail Me Now.

The Mc amps put out much more than the rating. I have one of those but haven't had it bench tested. I'm sure it is more like 160 wpc. I do know my MC275 is an actual 92wpc on the dealer's bench and both of my MC2100 were tasted at 138wpc each. Pretty amp, mine already had the trim around the meters removed.

Carl, thank you for the info. I am new to Mac's except for an MA5100. Got an MC 275 a couple of months back and now the 2125. Good to know that it pushes 150+ which is what I will need for the LF driver. Is C28 a decent preamp?

Hmmm, I would say use the 5100 pre section to see what you think but IIRC that does not have the separating jumper setup. The C28 is real nice once recapped but is colored a bit like all early SS preamps are. But then your 5100 would pretty much have the same sound signature regardless and you already have that.
I really wish I had something that had a remote that let's me adjust the sound level from where my butt is planted rather than having to get up and guess. That will be a requirement in the next one I spend real money on.
