As I've said here before, If leected she will select Neocons for the top positions in the State Department, the Department of Defense and UN Ambassador. Expect to see Victoria Nuland as Secretary of State, for instance.

If, as some say, the government is broken, a protest vote will not fix it.

Have you just turned 18? Have you moved? Have you never voted before? Some states have early registration (early October) and/or absentee ballots. You can’t vote if you are not registered. So make it so. Go to https://www.rockthevote.com , a non-profit, non-partisan organization, and fulfill your civic duty. Because, damn it, you are a citizen of the USA, with an obligation to take part in our democracy! Do this not merely for yourself but for all the generations that follow. Vote for a future of enlightenment and inclusion, a future that will someday lead us to the stars.

The context in which Democrats have been preparing their platform this year has differed greatly from that of Republicans. Hillary Clinton, the party’s presumptive nominee, faced a much stiffer challenge than expected during the primary season from Bernie Sanders, who developed a following of ardent supporters. Throughout the primary campaign, Sanders continually dragged Clinton leftward on policy. Leading up to the national convention, Sanders insisted that the party adopt “the most progressive platform ever passed.”

There are many reasons some committee members may have had to oppose these progressive policies: personal ideology, fealty to Clinton or, in the case of the TPP, pressure from the Obama administration. On top of all that, however, several delegates have financial interests directly opposed to the Sanders-inspired planks.
