I listened a bit to the Oxycontin-addled bloviator's radio show for 15-20 minutes on the way home from the gym. He's in full-tilt damage control mode, after having been the primary cheerleader to Senators Cruz and Lee's great misadventure - a good sign.

I took a peek at the Wash Post this A.M. and it's looking like the sandcastle in the air is crumbling.

You mean Boner's offer today to kick the can down the road again? Increase debt limit but still keep government shut down, what a dick.

Yeh, but somehow Limbaugh, Cruz and the rest of the crazy crowd inside the bubble somehow believed they could dictate to Obama and he would crumble forthwith.

Remembering how he got rolled the last time he 'negotiated' with Bonehead I doubt Obama is in any mood for a second go round.

Yep. I hope the Prez sticks to his guns and tells Boehner where he can stick it.

Gosh I hope not Rob, the Republicans sure did play him but good the last time. This just can't be the way we run our country in the future no matter who is President.

Is the President a poker player? From what I'm seeing he has the better hand right now.

Here's an op ed from WaPo written by Fareed Zakaria that drags the challenges facing the Republican party into the light.

Indeed. Boehner had a remote possibility of hitting an inside straight, while Obama already held a full house.
