The Fed Shouldn’t Enable Donald Trump
The central bank should refuse to play along with an economic disaster in the making.

By Bill Dudley

Excellent advise. Screw Donny.

Even if Trump loses the election this China business will not be the same.
China with the help of certain captains of commerce and certain politicians of both stripes has gamed its relationship with the western democracies especially since it entered the WTO.
Xi for life has made mockery of some of the rosy pictures painted by those who ushered China into the WTO.
Bravo to Trump, he has illuminated China. The public is more aware of the negligence/complicity of previous admins in the deindustrialization of the upper Midwest.

China will not stop until the Yen replaces the dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
With little to no worries about elections or political unrest at home.
Will do what it takes.
The only thing stopping it from happening now is timing. For have not acquired all the intel and property in their plan.

One day soon.

A borrower has little power when the "bank" demands payment and then seizes assets...

The only options for a country when payment is demanded and can not be meet, is non payment or forfeiture of property. We have seen in the past what happen then.

Toymaker CEO: If we move out of China, Trump could just ‘put a target on somebody else’s back’

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/30/basi...ite-trump.html

Donny's an idiot. CEO's fully understand that, and are beginning to push back on the lunatic.

Measured criticism of both Trump, and the NY Times opinion piece that says Trump has China policy "about right:"

Quote:
The NYT’s Roger Cohen seems to be making a pro-Trump point in “Trump Has China Policy About Right“, but he’s actually saying the same thing I’ve been saying: China is our main global competitor, it has been playing by it’s own rules, and it’s high time we confronted them about that. But at the same time, Trump is doing this in a very stupid way: chaotically and without allies.

Cohen’s assessment of “about right” involves grossly lowering his standards, as so many pundits do when they assess Trump. Trump “flails” and is “erratic”. His attempt to order American businesses out of China is “a trademark Trump grotesquerie”. Somehow that adds up to “about right”.
This from Weekly Sift. Very good blog.

Donny actions have achieved the basic - the slowing of the Chinese march to be the dominant world power mostly at the expense of the US.

More eyes are now on the Chinese practices; it is a different ball game than that of the past 20 years.
Thanks to Trump.
