Harry Litman @harrylitman

if true, and he has categorically denied it, Gaetz likely on the hook for sex trafficking with minors given the definition in federal statute. 10 year mandatory minimum. A very incendiary development.

Gaetz's wingman was also trying to get Roger Stone to buy him a pardon from Don the Con for $250K, confessed to himself and Gaetz having sex with minors. Stone is very much in trouble here, as well. Lock them all up!

A more detailed write-up here though the source of information is Daily Beast. I searched a for a print publication and Orlando Sentinel is a legit form what I know, so this news has hit mainstream.

I think the Feds ought to take possession of ol' Matty's passport. For safekeeping of course.

This article in the Atlantic, focusing on rank-and-file Republicans, should scare you to death. The radicalization has not abated, it is accelerating. A person who runs focus groups reports:

If compelling evidence is presented to MAGA supporters that what they’re being told by Greene or others is a lie, they don’t engage directly with the evidence. According to Longwell, “They say, ‘What about Ilhan Omar?’ They say, ‘What about [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez]?’”
Who hasn't seen this in real life?

The Republican party has done it's job well. Accusing the Dems of promoting division while it's been their SOP all along.

"As far-right demonstrators gathered outside the Oregon Capitol in December in the hope of ending coronavirus restrictions, state Rep. Mike Nearman (R) appeared to deliberately allow entry to two men trying to breach the building as he was leaving.

Without hesitation, two rioters on Dec. 21 rushed inside the state Capitol in Salem, Ore., held doors open and signaled for others to come in before police arrived to cut off the security breach, according to surveillance video obtained by the Oregonian and Oregon Public Broadcasting.

Nearman, 57, now faces criminal charges for his role in allegedly allowing the rioters to breach the Oregon Capitol, Marion County District Attorney Paige E. Clarkson announced Friday. The GOP lawmaker has been charged with misdemeanor counts of first-degree official misconduct and second-degree criminal trespass, according to court documents." WP

No, Roger Marshall (R) We can’t just ‘move on’ when you’re still telling the Big Lie

No, there’s no such thing as an honest Repube. Sigh.
