The country has always been a notorious grifters' paradise.

His comments about Congressional Democrats don't support this. His business practices don't support this. For four decades his habit has been to accuse hundreds of suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, mostly white people, of trying to rip him off.
Malignant/hostile narcissists may care less about race than anybody. They'll exploit any available victim regardless of race. His race bating and bigotry are strategic to maintaining support from his white christian nationalist/supremacist base. What Trump's life is all about, what his primary enjoyment in life is all about is waiting for the next unsuspecting person of any color, any religion, any nationality, who he can fuck with to come wandering by.
Donald is an utterly equal-opportunity sociopathic grifter. And he sees anybody who crosses him, regardless of their melanin load as a criminal.

Yep. And really solidified by the combined actions of the Legislative and Judicial branches beginning in the 1970's, stripping protections away from the people and handing power to the corporatists on fucking sliver platter. And the ignorant citizens have bought right into it. Does justice matter? Nope. Does fairness matter? Nope. The corporatists have gained complete control because all that matters to the people is jobs. Sure jobs are really important...but it can't always be only about jobs. Nothing matters in this country but jobs. Trump sits in the oval office because of the promise of jobs. Handing over the country to (for example) coal producers. Stripping away the protections of the EPA, OSHA and other labor protections (how stupid can American workers be?), civil rights protections, financial protections, employment discrimination protections, safety nets for the needy and elderly, etc. It's fucking ridiculous.
As bad as the Congress is...my primary problem with the government of this country is the improperly named "justice system". We do not have a system of justice. Any justice doled out is completely incidental. What we have is a purposefully weaponizable legal system. Designed and moderated since the founding by and for lawyers. A system that generates a hideous amount of victims and perpetrators...and all done...uh...legally.

I had this pretty unforgettable malignant narcissist client one time. The closest thing to a complete utter asshole that I ever ran into in my professional career. Not quite as severe as Donald Trump, but close. We always learned a whole lot more about how twisted, sick and wrong some people could be from clients we ran into than we ever learned in graduate school or the professional clinical trainings we had to attend to maintain our licensure. This guy was particularly noxious and intractable.
To hear him tell it, the "worst vermin on earth" were Mexicans. But ya know who continually got the worst treatment from this shitsack? White acquaintances who didn't share the same level severity of his hatred toward Mexicans. And...his wife and his stepson, who probably got the worst of it.
Race was incidental when it came to his choices in who the next victim of his ceaseless maltreatment and interpersonal exploitation might be. Seeing the people close to him withering under this shitstorm of hostility probably brought him the most relief from the narcissistic wound eating away at his guts. This was fairly common in my experience.

Ken Cuccinelli unlawfully appointed to lead US immigration agency, judge rules
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...-federal-judge
Quote:
The judge wrote that Cuccinelli didn’t qualify for exceptions for officials who won Senate approval for other positions or spent 90 days in the previous year at the agency.
The administration’s reading of the law “would decimate this carefully crafted framework”, Moss wrote. “The president would be relieved of responsibility and accountability for selecting acting officials, and the universe of those eligible to serve in an acting capacity would be vastly expanded.”

Another "emergency" SCOTUS ruling in the works? This guy is yet another incompetent hate-monger in a long line of incompetent hate-mongers in this corrupt administration.

Azar in the crosshairs for delays in virus tests
HHS’ slow response was traced to the secretary’s distrust of aides and fear of offending Trump.

Millions of lives put at risk because this clown didn't want to offend Donny. We are truly living in a Banana Republic.

The fewer people tested the fewer confirmed cases is how I see it.
