Which is, of course, why eyewitness testimony (notoriously unreliable) is considered one of the least valid forms of mining for worthwhile data in an investigation.

Something is very fishy here. If the officer was assaulted and had sustained injuries, that alone is reason enough for any shooting. We may not like the shooting process but that's TS is you don't give them the leeway.

But why didn't they make it public immediately? Could have prevented a riot.

It's happened.

There have been more than a few self inflicted wounds by Dudes looking to get sent home from the war. Or get out of the draft for that matter. One of my buddies from High School went on an eating binge and put on about 60 lbs. so that he would flunk his physical. Worked too. He was stocky to begin with. By the time he was done you would have had to paint a stripe on him to be able see if he was walking or rolling.

As much as I hate to say it, Kerry getting three cheap hearts in Vietnam in just a little over four months was a little suspicious to me.

Because you have to be RIGHT. Confirmed. Validated. You get ONE shot. That takes time. If you think the riots were bad on no information, imagine what would have occurred on discovered BAD information?

Personally, I think that's why the officer's orbital is being only unofficially -- nothing from source -- offered at the moment.

1. The good guys know they're right.
2. The whole package isn't together, yet.
3. Let's leak a meaningful part to modify narrative prior to full disclosure.

You have to pave the way with bits of data to eradicate rage. Hitting folks who are angry and wrong with the whole kielbasa just makes them madder.
