When it comes to the blues, I'm much more into roots music like Delta blues or some of the rarer East Coast stuff like Blind Boy Fuller or Rev. Gary Davis. I can listen to that stuff all day long.

I like the later stuff like Elmore James and the Chess artists too so hearing a bunch of white English players do a respectful and pleasing job of covering it is fine by me. I like Fleetwood Mac and very early Ten Years After but not so much the Blues Breakers or the Yardbirds.

Aw, hell! It's all good.

John

Christine McVie? A real cutie, that one!

"Then Play On" is the last Fleetwood Mac that does anything for me.

Hey, I just found out that the craziest of the original members, Jeremy Spencer, is from Hartlepool. I now have some fresh insight into the workings of Pete's mind.

YEAH Kirwin and Spencer are sort of tragic in what happened in their personal lives....their sort of one-off Mac album Kiln House is enjoyable...
I never got into the Bob Welch period...

Peter Green too. He was in and out of mental hospitals for a long time, pretty much the entire decade of the '70s. He had serious trouble from all the acid he did and was schizophrenic as well.
