But his plan evokes the other part of Bismarck's adage, which is that politics is also "the art of the next best." At this stage in the maturity of America's debate on healthcare reform, the Affordable Care Act is the next best thing to single-payer. It may be years before the next step can happen."

Perhaps but Hillary's opening with "next best". So what happens after negotiations start? Bernie, by opening with "Medicare Part E", leaves "next best" as the eventual possible compromise.

The House 'Freedumb Caucus' needs to be retired first. That won't happen until the next census.

Bernie has had a nice little improbable run.
I'm not saying I dislike him.
But reality is coming.
It does not involve the name "Sanders."

If anything, this is too conservative, but it will do for a start.
IMO that $10 million plus bracket should be 90%.
What interesting here is that in Bernies plan income tax goes up only for the top 2%.

You may have missed it with the constant storm coverage in most of the country as Winter Storm Jonas dumped two feet of snow on most of the Mid-Atlantic states and New England, but the rest of the nation witnessing a massive out-pouring of support for Democratic candidate Senator Bernie Sanders.
In Chicago, Portland, New Orleans, Buffalo, Boston and other cities around the country, hundreds and thousands came out to mark their support of the Vermont senator.

(Deep breath...)
1. I'm not saying I dislike Sanders.
2. I'm not saying I dislike his -- in general -- platform.
But his odds of winning a general election are higher than an ability to win his party's platform. Revolution hasn't been reality in this nation since 1776. As a model, what I support wins by increments. That is best served by Hillary and a general continuation of Obamaism (tm).

Oh I'm doing OK...except for health care, I cannot access health care because I have to spend all my health care money on mandatory insurance which covers literally nothing... A law bought by our capitalist system of governing.
But about 80% of the folks aren't doing well under our capitalist system of screw people over for everything they've got.
