From the local Second Hand store:

Bonsai-Akustik "Ideal" top quality bookshelf speakers with two bass woofers each, orignal price 1200 Deutsche Mark, which is 600 euros. I payed 50 euros for them. Outstanding sound.

The little brand Bonsai-Akustik does not exist anymore. They offered finest quality for an acceptable price. But there is only a market for High End and Crap End and no market in between...

It looks like they have a built-in Bierdeckel.

I thought I had found those really expensive things that go on top of those really expensive Polk speakers. Alas they are just Polk Monitor M5 satellite speakers for the outdoors. NOT A SCORE.

I'm standing in the Goodwill and I have this Pioneer VSK
X-519V in my cart...7 bucks. It's HDMI which I haven't seen before in any of the home theater rigs at the GW.

I'd be using it with my Infinity Composition Prelude PF-R's that you can drive with a singlenended triode so I'm not concerned with power output at all. I'm getting it.

I've nevwr run 5 channel before. Wadda ya think?

Please note I only respond to you when you're being a complete and utterly petty little asswipe.

It is true in a way.....

but what is living supposed to be about if not to collect as much junk as you can before its all over. Time to have a speaker sale. I think I will get rid of some Mirages.

With the setups I've had, 5-channel hasn't seemed worth the trouble to me. I'm down to 2.1. Good 2-channel amps are very good, and given that I'm out to spend very little, available 5-channel amps have not impressed.

Yeah, if you turn the back channels uo enough, you sometimes notice sounds coming from the side/back. Big whoop.

But, if I found a swell amp for $7.00 I might try it again. The wires i ran under the floor are still there....
