The only name that shocks me on this list is ⁦@SenatorLankford. Most of these Senators know there is no basis for this challenge but rather are “representing concerns of their constituents” while they pander to Trump base. 1/6 will be a circus.

Circus OK as long as all the acts come off, that is, the certification vote is completed according to law. If someone is trampled by the elephants and everyone flees in panic, not good.

I hope I'm wrong. I really really hope, but I'm getting a bad feeling about the upcoming transition to the Biden & Harris administration. What will Donny stop at to remain in power? In four years he has faced few consequences for his actions. Largely because of the Repubs in Congress and appointees in key positions. Why should he do the right thing now? Who would act to stop him? In his refusal to concede defeat in the election the majority of Republicans are OK with him trying to remain in office. How far will he go?

There is no moral limit. There are limits, Trump lacks courage and organizational ability, and highly capable people reject his leadership and work against him. So his minions tend to be dweebs. I don't think he has anything like the cunning and personal effectiveness Hitler did in his prime. All this means his plots will be opposed and can be beaten. But a lot will be on the line Wed that should not be on the line. I'm pretty sure there will be an attempt to disrupt things at the Capitol enough to prevent the certification vote from happening.
