Oh and BTW, I see you've finally acknowledged the existence of the "Southern Strategy". Thanks, it's about time.
So, tell me; What was the original definition?
Never mind, I'll let Mr. Atwater explain it for you.

Bizarre reasoning. Cochran has been a senator for 36 years and he is representing both Republicans and Democrats, correct? So why should not a certain group of Democrats (whom he will be representing anyway) choose him over McDaniel.
You are paraphrasing what McDaniel said in his non-concession speech.
From: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...y.html?hpid=z1
In a bitter and angry speech to supporters in Hattiesburg late Tuesday, McDaniel refused to concede and said, “we are not prone to surrender.” He cited “voting irregularities” and thundered that the “Republican primary [was] decided by liberal Democrats.”
I am surprised he did not say black Democrats since this was organized by NAACP volunteers.

He reached across party lines and pulled a reverse Rush Limbaugh on his opponent, see 'Chaos Strategy'. Hell, even McDaniels crossed party lines back in '03 and voted in a Dem primary.

So, is this what "reaching across party lines" looks like to you?

Every vote whoring politician in the country plays the race card every chance they get. Give your phony-ass outrage a rest.

...and we can count on the Dems and their allies to keep fanning it until it does.

...and as far as "scare tactics" are concerned, after the 2004 Presidential election, any conservative/Republican who complains about Democrat "scare tactics" should be beaten with a stick.

McDaniel chose to run as a Teabagger in an open primary and lost and now cries foul? What a feckin' whiner (as are you, BTW). You should be happy that at least one Republican seems willing to reach out to African-Americans.

Here's one vote in support of the "race to the bottom".

The only "race to the bottom" results from the GOP having created and kowtowed to the 'Baggers.

I'll just add that if the purpose is to win back the Senate, we would want the Donkey candidate to have the best chance of winning against the Pachyderm candidate. Seems to me, in statewide elections, even in Mississippi, that would be a radical teabagger candidate. Cochran will beat any Democrat he's up against.
