I have never seen either displayed.

Can you point out something intelligent about her?

Ah dear friends, when the right looks at the financial crisis now they blame the left, but what they need to do is blame their hero, Ronald Reagan--it is he who was the reckless one in terms of starting the financial spiral.

The facts from Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/01/op...01krugman.html

Ronald Reagan, the so-called "Conservative" was hardly that at all--he was about as reckless as they come as it relates to our country's economic status, deficit spending, military-establishment build-up and policy.

I guess I must have different standards as I do not find Governor Palin to be either beautiful or intelligent.

Oh BTW, it was Paulson who started us down the road to massive debt and years of Republican neglect that allowed some banks get "too big to fail". A country that allows such dubious financial instruments as derivatives left the door open to thievery. Actually 'dubious' is too mild a word.

A major bank is in court here on charges of deliberately selling sub-prime mortgages to people they knew would default. But you sell the mortgage, take your points, then bundle them as derivatives and sell those, eureka you made money and took no risk - pure unadulerated greed.

I'll never understand the Palinphobes, whose one demensational view of her borders on a pathological hatred.

I suppose that's just the nature of politics.

Just watched it on You Tube, and it was pretty piss poor.

But cut her some slack, I'm sure this was a highly emotional moment for her, and she was shooting from the hip (no teleprompter), and trying to be polite at the same time.

To tell the truth, if people abused me as much as they have her, I'd be so damn vicious that no one would have the guts to get within arms length of me.

Chas

PS: Congratulations on having such a fine father. I'm sure that you are also quite proud.

The only way I can see someone arguing with filmed evidence, is emotionally. The people are sitting there, and the words are coming out of their mouths. It's not smoke and mirrors, or trick photography. I also find it one hell of a coincidence who Barny Frank was having a homosexual love affair with during that time.

I have heard this hundreds of times in reference to her. If people are suggesting and she is accommodating them by being a national politician and running for president why should we cut her some slack?

The reason she is so abused is that she is in so far over her head and has a childish response to criticism. She makes every situation worse for herself by not shutting up.
Heck she played family feud with an 18 year old in the national press.
That speech yesterday was very representative of who and what she is.
Why is she not smart enough to understand that talking from notes to a national audience with childlike sports analogies is a bad idea?
Will they not sell her a tellepropmter?
Why does she not have a speech writer to properly package her ideas and views?
Why can't she understand that "shooting from the hip" as a president could lead to a world war, a collapsed economy..........?
Why has she no clue that her families image is what many if not most Americans consider dysfunctional?

Thank you very much for your kind words about my dad.
Have a great 4th.
We disagree a bit but you are a gentlemen and I certainly respect your views.
