Mind you let's not be engaging in revisionist history here. Trivial though the charges may have been, Hunter is by no means pure. Rather, he's kind of the left-wing version of Pete Hegseth or Matt Gaetz.

I expect Joe will be issuing a lot more blanket pardons, to protect honest civil servants from Donny's upcoming terror campaign. You have to fight fire with fire here.

Hunter was going to be treated as a sacrificial lamb and Biden put his foot down by saying it's my lamb. He is on his way out of politics so there will be no repercussions. Its not like he was politically strong and had to pay a price though his political weakness was self inflicted by not being a strong leader.

Did he even call Trump a crook once in light of the overwhelming evidence yet Trump constantly berated and insulted Biden and his family?

Only because it won't matter, I think he should pardon Trump on the way out the door. The conventions aren't going anywhere, might as well throw an olive branch in to eff up the mix.

Chief, I agree with you and had even posted this sometime back.

Problem is that Trump can decline the pardon (which in itself is a grey area) and it will explode in Biden's face and idealists among us may not understand the gesture as a poke in the MAGA eye(s).

Doubt I posted it here, but thank you for the credit.

And the suggestion was to force Trump into admitting his guilt.

I predict that Trump will claim he can rescind the 'criminal pardon of Hunter Biden,' and the Supreme Count will uphold this new power. The right wing has built up Hunter as a lurid enemy of America, and they will want their show trial, which will be for treason, etc, not for gun forms and tax stuff.

They are pretty likely to follow that with a trial of Joe Biden.

And, so it appears Trump pardoned what basically amounts to a family member (by marriage) back during his first term, , , , funny I don't remember the gnashing of too many Republican teeth over that one.......

"President-elect Donald Trump during his first term pardoned Charles Kushner, father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, after he was convicted of preparing false tax returns, retaliating against a cooperating witness, and making false statements to the Federal Election Commission in 2005."
