First time I heard him, I thought some of his stuff was a cross between Hank Williams and Jimi Hendrix. One of my few country CDs. Actually saw him here in KC - a friend's band opened for him.

Shades of Jimmy Page with the double necked guitar. I've never seen one with a lap steel - usually a 6 and 12 string. Very cool.

Saw Junior in Knoxville years ago- He ROCKED for 2 hours & went full tilt from beginning to end. His wife was in his band, too. If he comes to a town close to you, you'd be missing a TREAT if you don't go see him...
