I have no idea as a percentage of how much loss I could work with. I can tell you that I deal with screws with a major diameter of less than .030". Not quite as small as watchmakers but close.

Lighting is very important when you get down in this territory. I can only imagine what complications cataracts might bring to the problem.

Thanks for all the well wishes.
Surgery wasn't near as scary as I anticipated..... thanks to what ever drugs they put in the IV.

I go back to doc today for a post op appointment. I expect he will say everything looks as good as it feels.
