Has anyone else seen the 'zoomed' version? It's being argued by cops and retired cops that he grabbed himself in the side because of pain, and also why he staggered. Pain from perhaps a tazer or gunshot while his hands were still in the air. I'm not saying it is true, I'm only saying what trained police and retired police are telling me that have watched the video closely ( in their opinion of course ). Again, ''I'' am not saying that is what happened and am making that clear before anyone assumes that I am thinking it.
I'm going to watch the zoomed version after the babies are in bed and see what it is they are talking about.

Are you trying to suggest that he was shot while trying to surrender like Michael Brown was?

Who cares? A guy with a felony rap involving intimidation of Feds while armed runs through a first roadblock, tried to run through a second and almost killed a cop in the process, and then twice put his hands in his pocket containing a loaded 9mm (while he had three other loaded weapons in the truck). Morever, the other jagoffs surrendered peacefully and weren't gunned down by the Feds.
Fuck him. They should ditch his weighted body in the Pacific Ocean just like they did with Bin Laden so he doesn't become a martyr for other militant loonies.
If his name was Muhammed Abdul-Aziz

Add a known murderer of his father to the counts, Finnbow. When you are completely outspoken that you will go down before you serve a day in jail, and you go for a pocket with a loaded 9mm, I have no problem at all with him being dropped.
OSP played this perfect, cutting the head off of the hydra while they were away from the compound, and doing it as surgically clean as possible. Instead of hundreds being involved in a horrendous shootout, you have two law enforcement taking down one stupid ass bent on being killed.

If law enforcement wanted to kill, then no footage and all in the vehicle would now be.

Possibly he was going for the gun, possibly not. But the officers did not get to study a 'zoomed version' before reacting. Given what was happening and what was known about this man, the officers' belief that he was going for a weapon would have to be judged reasonable.
I don't hold, as some argue, that the slightest particle of fear on an officer's part justifies shooting, but there seems to me to have been ample justification in this case.

The individuals in question were given plenty of opportunity to surrender peacefully. No question in my mind it was a justified use of force.
