Fox News on Monday morning apologized for cropping President Donald Trump out of a photograph of him posing with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the recently arrested socialite who allegedly served as Epstein’s “madam” for the trafficked underage girls. The network claimed the clear crop job was a mere mistake.

“On Sunday, July 5, a report on Ghislaine Maxwell during Fox News Channel’s America’s News HQ mistakenly eliminated President Donald Trump from a photo alongside then Melania Knauss, Jeffrey Epstein, and Maxwell. We regret the error,” read the network’s statement, per CNN’s senior media reporter Oliver Darcy.

The edited, Trump-free image was featured in a Sunday segment on Maxwell’s sex-trafficking charges and was taken at the president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in February 2000. Interestingly, while Fox cropped the president out of the image, they did not crop out his then-girlfriend/now-wife Melania Knauss Trump.

Yeh, I'm sure it was a mistake.

And I'm sure they corrected their mistake by extensively displaying the uncropped image, elaborating on it just as much as they did the altered version....

Check out Tucker Carlson's pedigree; his dad was Voice of America (CIA) CEO, and CPB CEO.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Carlson

Tucker was prattling on about the JFK assassination being a CIA operation. Now check this out; skip to 50:15

The sorry state of American politics is not due solely to Republicans, but they are by far the more responsible party. It is frankly astonishing how closely today’s GOP resembles in mentality the Communist party of my youth, right down to Donald Trump’s brownnosing to Moscow. It is incredible to see Fox News, let alone Newsmax and OANN, use the same methods as Czechoslovak TV and Rudé právo (Red Right), the official Communist paper, in the 1980s...

Lying about democracy, a mainstay of the old Communist press, has also become standard for American media outlets aligned with Trump’s GOP—as witness the months of lies about the “stolen election,” for which there is no evidence.

And then there are the verbal pirouettes of whataboutism. They formed the bedrock of Commie propaganda. Whenever the Communists were forced to acknowledge errors and imperfections in running the economy (which they eventually ran into the ground), they ramped up their propaganda about racism and homelessness in the United States to create the mirage of moral equivalence. Does that sound at all familiar?

Another tactic is selective attention. Watching Fox and its competitors, one is rarely confronted with the reality of the January 6 insurrection in its full scale and moral ugliness, as that which does not conform to the party line does not exist.

Uh Huh....right.

So Chicket: what documents were produced by Twitter, and what was it about the production of those documents that caused Twitter to ring up a $3.4 million dollar tab with the Feds?

Maybe because of this:

Kevin McCarthy went to unusual lengths to defend Marjorie Taylor Greene, even dispatching his general counsel to spend hours on the phone trying to cajole senior executives at Twitter to reactivate her personal account after she was banned last year for violating the platform’s coronavirus misinformation policy.
