That would make 28 out of 36 years that the Presidency was in the hands of either a Bush or a Clinton. That is quite frankly an outrage.

I liked Clinton better, flaws excepted of course.

We'd probably be better served by a monarch or even a dictator. At least then we'd KNOW what we are getting instead of this big lie we keep telling ourselves.....
The United states is the only proof you need that democracy is a fail.

The political process within a two party system without direct elections gets an F.

If the GWD is an example of direct election, then pfffft.

Then they could all say stuff like Finnbow is a moron and everybody could chime in their agreement. Like yeah, you told him, hooray for our side and all that.

No, no, Finn's right. You are an idiot, Junkless. You ought to learn to embrace your inner cretin.

It's instructive that the only elective offices in the US that aren't directly elected are president and vice president, the two most important of the whole lot.

Thanks for the clarification John which is what I meant, not to mention the disproportionate role the Senate plays. I am minimizing my words to stay under the Bob's radar.

Except you don't really 'spend' any time here. You don't invest 2 seconds trying to see anything from any point of view other than the one you came in with. You time here is utterly wasted, except as light entertainment for you.

Maybe. But, at least you can make a coherent point if you feel like it. Some of these guys can call names or post a link, but that is about it.
