An utter bullshit argument you’ve no doubt bought into. It’s the exact House process, put in place by the GOP, which has been used for years for discovery. It includes members of both parties, who are all entitled to ask questions of witnesses.

The Gaetz demonstration was pure political theatre, to deflect from the very serious evidence against Donny. Most of us are aware enough to fully understand this. I don’t expect a Fucker Carlson cultist to have the intellect to do so, sadly.

It's an amplification of such argument.

Importantly also it provides energy for the base and is going to make it harder for repub politicians (especially senators) to act up independently.

The repubs seem to find the right guy for this political play. Gaetz is a free flow speaker, not a bumbler.
Exactly. As I said, you think it an admirably excellent tactic. The fact that the basic 'behind closed doors' argument is flaming bullshit is, for you, not important.

Indeed it is theatre. The impeachment essentially is. You accuse me of not being aware, but you do not seem to grasp the political entirety of Gaetz's action.

There is of course a vital battle for public opinion going on. Only a wave of public condemnation will create conditions allowing Trump's removal. But calling the impeachment theater says there is no substance to the view that Trump's actions legitimately warrant impeachment. It is once again denial that his immoral, corrupt, racist, anti-democratic regime is doing severe damage to the republic every day it is in office.

I now view Trump as a major reaction to the ill effects of Bill Clinton's triangulations.
There is enough in the system to counter Trump; many of his plans have been tied up.
By calling for impeachment from day one and shouting impeachment at every turn the Dems have over time devalued impeachment.

Bill Clinton had consensual sex with an intern, then lied about it. Hardly an impeachable offense. Most Americans thought his impeachment was silly, and he became immensely popular because of it.

Donny is attempting to destroy our entire democratic system, to become a king. His actions are immensely impeachable. Public servants are coming out of the woodworks to testify against his undemocratic moves.

I'm not surprised that you don't get the difference.

Triangulation in politics - wikipedia

in politics, triangulation is the strategy in which political candidates presents their ideology as being above or between the left and right sides (or wings) of a traditional democratic political spectrum.

Mike Pompeo, either quit and run for U.S. Senate in Kansas or focus on your day job

Hey Mikey! Stop lying, do your job, or quit.

Interesting. Can you go into more detail? That is, exactly what triangulations caused just what ill-effects?

Republicans are thinking of deserting the president: ‘This marriage with Trump is going to be very costly’

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices...-a9171846.html

Time to grow a pair, Repubes, for your own good. You won't have a future if you stick with Donny. Demographics are already against you, and getting worse by the day.
