ROTFLMAO!! Chas, we're 'elitist'!!
Was you might find this interesting, a few years back I heard an interview with an inner city NYC teacher (I think NPR) who as part of her class had the kids 'speak like a white person'. Her intent was to make it easier to be hired in the real world.
Heck when I was cold calling setting my own appointments one business answered 'Paint the White House Black productions'
Next time I'm at my bud Butchies I'll ask a young black man about cracka. I only visit occasionally.

Yeah and there was a time back in Quebec where some illiterate English people used to say 'speak white' to French Canadians and look what the result of that was.

Spare me the selective indignation. Its a public forum, and adult language is in ample supply here.

True story-
This was years ago, wife and I walk into a McDonalds in Anchorage. It was not long after they introduced the salads, and that's what the wife wanted. There was a display case for them up by the counter, but nothing in the display case.
So the wife asks the kid behind the counter if they have any salads.
Kid turns around and yells, and I mean yells, loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear "Heah, we got any muthafuckin' salad?"
Everyone completely ignores the guy, no eye contact or nothing.
Couple seconds later he yells again "Yo, we got any muthafuckin' salad back there?"
Nobody responds, like he's not even there.
We just stood there for a few seconds, deer in the headlights. I looked at her, she at me, and we turned and walked out, shaking our heads.
I would think it was his first and last shift, but who knows.

You don't understand, Was. That McD's employee likely comes from a place where "muthafuckin'" is just part of the language that's used. You should try to understand him, not be critical of him. Hell, we should go find this guy so he can help us all out. Maybe he can help validate Ms. Jeantel's comments about "cracker" and "cracka" meaning two completely different things.
