It's a bit of a fine point, a matter of definition. Are people nutty when their conscious reasoning is disabled by their decision (at some level) to identify with a group and group leader? Note that so identifying then pretty much *requires* believing what the group believes. Nutty or not, is it widespread human behavior, and might even be considered normal on that basis. Keep in mind that people don't really consciously decide not to do critical thinking about group dogma, they just can't/don't do it.

No, I just have an intolerance for abuse of the language.
Just curious, do you regard the 2000 post-election circus (and the Dems that still think that the 2000 election was stolen) to be evidence of an "autogolpe"?
I think it's kinda cute that "autogolpe" is the left's favorite new word.

Abuse of language??? A self-coup, also called autocoup (from the Spanish: autogolpe), is a form of coup d'état in which a nation's leader, having come to power through legal means, tries to stay in power through illegal means. That describes what happened on Jan 6 perfectly. This is a far more precise and accurate use of language than calling the insurrection a "normal tourist visit" (by a GOP Congressman who frantically blocked the doors of the House gallery against the rioters, no less) or the rioters/insurrectionists "patriots."
In 2000, the Democrats didn't engage in a violent insurrection, nor a nationwide scheme to illegally install fake electors. OTOH, Republicans did engage in violence and threats against the recount in Miami-Dade, the infamous Brooks Brothers Riot, which also involved Roger Stone.
FWIW, I voted for Dubya in that election and didn't sour on him until he and his NeoCon cabinet led the country to war under false pretenses.

I used to get a good laugh from Whell's idiotic posts. Now, he's just sad. Such an ill-informed, illogical buffoon, spouting nonsense.

If that's the case the FAUX "news" could be sued out of existence and being an entertainment source couldn't protect them.

Trump from his lawsuit is accusing CNN of calling him:
"CNN has tried to taint the Plaintiff with a series of ever-more scandalous, false, and
defamatory labels of “racist,” “Russian lackey,” “insurrectionist,” and ultimately “Hitler.”
Finally Trump is telling the truth about himself, though the Hitler is bit of a stretch, or prove it.
