Recommended to me by an elderly bookseller when I was in my late teens so it's a bit dogeared.. I used to haunt his bookshop on my lunch hours. We had some interesting conversations.

Mine a more recent acquisition. Out of the bins at the Goodwill, I couldn't see letting it go to the dump. I shouldn't let the fate of mass-produced objects like books bug me, but it does sometimes. You go to Goodwill and look at the book bins, and it's like you can the cultural legacy of the last 150 years or so being trashed, a couple of tons every day.

Usually non fiction but I have a special thing for the world wars, architecture,
philosophy, physics/its history and books in spanish.
