Mendelssohn---Symphony #3 (The Scotch) on Nonesuch vinyl.

I am listening to it on the bedroom system. Had to switch out turntables as the cartridge on my B&O 4002 finally died and it will be a while before I have the scratch to replace it. So, I put the Revox B795 in it's place. The Revox sounds glorious, even though the cart I have in it is a little to non-compliant for the short, tangential arm. It requires something that tracks at <2 grams in it, but I have a Grado Z2+ installed that runs right at 2 grams. Some day.........some day................

Regards,
Dave

Let me add my good wishes too. My good friend across the Delaware from Philly is okay so far but the storm is scaring the shit out of her and she does NOT scare easy.

Couldn't Stand The Weather-Stevie Ray Vaughan for N.Y. and everyone else affected by this freakish storm. Watch out Montreal!!!! The snow and icing is going to be bad.

The Sky Is Cryin'-SRV for the dear departed. Om mani padme om, repeated infinitely.

If I Could Only Remember My Name-David Crosby(not the best mastering job but some real nuggets-What Are Their Names, being one.)

Yes. +1, my friend. Stay inside, keep warm. I just came in from a walk. It's cold and wet out there. Storm is slowly dying out, here. And a good riddence to it.

Regards,
Dave

In honor of the Stones announcing some dates for their fiftieth anniversary:

The Rolling Stones 12x5 1964
The Rolling Stones ST 1964
The Rolling Stones Out Of Our Heads 1965
The Rolling Stones December's Children 1965

I hope they expand it to a full on world tour, but I'll understand if they don't. Has anyone here listened to their new release Doom and Gloom?

Supertramp---Famous Last Words

A&M Japanese Pressing Lp

This along with a box of ~15 MFSL and other audiophile pressings, all in pristine condition came with the B&O 4002 when I bought it.......for $100. Supertramp, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Gordon Lightfoot, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Carly Simon and a few others. The woman said her Dad used to buy Lps, record them onto RTR tape, then file them away. But, that he had sold off all but his very favorite records and the tapes & tape deck when he "....got sick.". Whatever that meant.

She also said another man had bought the rest of her fathers system, just the day before, but didn't want the turntable or the records. I didn't ask what the rest of the system was...........I didn't want to know what I had missed.
