Hillary is so far removed from reality, her arrogance is evident and seems to be only consulting with people who can tell her what she wants to hear.

Bernie needs to win California and he is close, it's no longer a delegate race which has been fixed in advance (all seven super delegates to Hillary for losing, is than an effing joke or what?), but a popularity contest.

Elections are, by definition, popularity contests.

Of course, as long as the voting is not rigged. In a hypothetical race in a general election between Bernie and Hillary, who do you think will win?

Looks like der Furor T'Rumpolini is in a deep double digit hole compared to the putative Democratic nominee.
That's about to change.

Now that Trump has the nomination sewed up he's a free man.

It's Trumpster Unchained!

And woe is gonna be Hillary.

She's used to being able to use Bernie as a punching bag with no fear of reprisal because Bernie is too much of a gentleman for that.

She won't be getting the same pass from the Trumpster.

He's gonna train all his heavy guns on her.

Which will be good for Bernie by the way, since he's not giving up.

It's not as though Hillary will be unarmed and unfunded. Trump's opponents didn't start criticizing him until recently. They were afraid of alienating his base. Hillary won't be.

Why, yes, I am.

And even Charlie Pierce is wrong sometimes, Bob.

Are you shitin me?

Trump has been savaged ever since he first took the lead in the polls from the left, and the right. The media has been full of negative articles about him too.

But Trump is like a Timex Watch.

He takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

finnbow was using 'recently' figuratively and in a relative way.

I was referring to criticism from his direct political opponents in the primary. His GOP primary mates were mostly all kissy-face until Rubio took him on over his penis remarks and got shot down. He remained mostly untouched until Cruz sensed his own demise. Hillary will come out with guns blazing and Trump has given her tons of ammo. The same applies in reverse. Should be ugly.

Yeah. The two presumptives with their high negatives can only pick up votes by making their opponent look even worse. It's gonna be the mother of all mudfests.

And negative campaigning tends to depress turnout, which usually has favored the Republicans. Trumpolini has been getting too many breaks.

Time to get it together and beat the demagogue.
