I don't care what the dictionary says.... In Trayvon's world, this is what CRACKA means. (I mis spelled it in my earlier post)

And, for the sake of this situation, the only definition that counts is the one intended when Trayvon used the word.

Of course, none of this was testimony at the trial. Nor would it have been, I suspect, admissible.

Since you completely missed the point, I'll try to explain it to you.

There was a serious communication problem between the witness (a young black teenager) and the jury as well as the lawyers (for the most part, older and Caucasian).

She was telling them one thing, and because of the lack of understanding of the terms she used, they mis interpreted it. That is exactly what happened during the trial as the interview linked above indicates.

Oh, I get it. I disagree that it was a "communication problem". I think this particular witness had a "credibility problem". Its likely that, if she had been pressed at the trial to give her definition of "craka", her credibility would have taken another hit.

Perhaps we could throw some more tax money at the schools and add Ebonics to the menu of languages taught. Immersion in the language might help the ignorant whites better understand the black culture.
